Acadia Alumni Association Award Recipients

Alumni are one of Acadia University's greatest assets. The Acadia Alumni Association offers and supports a suite of awards and honours to recognize and showcase those who have earned distinction and achieved inspirational success in life and career. Dr. Colin King receives Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching

If a single line could encapsulate Dr. Colin King’s (’17) teaching philosophy, it might be: “instead of being a sage on the stage, aim to be a guide on the side.”

Lucas Oickle named Outstanding Young Alumni Award winner

To say that Acadia University’s Lucas Oickle (’13) has hit all the right notes during his career before and after graduation would be an understatement.

Kim Vaughan is the Administrative Coordinator for Acadia’s School of Kinesiology. She has a keen eye for detail and her knowledge of University policies and procedures is expansive and impressive.

Sarah Lavallée named 2022 recipient of The Athenaeum and Acadia Alumni Student of the Year Award

Every now and then a person arrives on campus who ticks all the boxes when it comes to defining the quintessence of an Acadia student. Resilience amid grief, service above self. Few people in our community have confronted personal heartbreak with as much grace, humility and determination and were able to turn it into service for our university as this year’s Acadia Alumni Isaac Chipman Award for Excellence in Alumni Service recipient, Barry Taylor (’80).
