All Alumni Survey: Engagement
- The number of contactable alumni was higher than the last survey in 2017.
- A total of 91.8% of alumni consider themselves to be engaged or somewhat engaged with the University.
- Acadia is well above the peer average of engagement rates and ranked #2 in engagement relative to comparative institutions.
- A total of 82% of alumni are proud of their association with Acadia.
- The majority of alumni are likely to read communications sent from Acadia.
- Personal Experience and Awareness & Pride were ranked as the highest factors for alumni relative to their engagement. All engagement drivers are higher for alumni at Acadia than the peer group average.
- A total of 83% of alumni would speak highly of Acadia.
- The reasons given for alumni to want to engage with Acadia are because of classmates and the university overall.
- The majority of alumni find wanting to connect with each other and coming back to campus as important factors of alumni activities.
- The majority of alumni said that Acadia played an important role in their personal development and intellectual growth.
- The highest motivation for participating in alumni activities is connecting with classmates.

“My career is the project I’m most proud of, and it is directly shaped by my time at Acadia. I arrived uncertain about my future, and Acadia gave me the environment to discover both my passion and the confidence to pursue it. Today, working as a geologist in remote exploration camps, I can trace the roots of my path back to Wolfville, the small choices I made there brought me to where I stand now. The adaptability, resilience, and drive I gained at Acadia continue to guide me in a career I never imagined for myself before stepping onto campus.”
“Acadia changed my life. Throughout my six years at Acadia, I became part of a community of like-minded students who wanted to make an impact on the world.
